We worked with Fred on a variety of remodeling projects including our kitchen, pantry, wine bar, dining room, living room and three bathrooms. Fred captured our desire to create a unique living space. His creative eye and thoughtful planning surpassed our expectations. His professional and friendly demeanor made it enjoyable to describe our dream. He frequented our project to ensure the contractors paid attention to every detail. Fred's insightful vision and extensive experience intuitively created a peaceful ambiance that started in the kitchen and spread throughout our home. We worked with Fred on the design and execution of a complete remodel of our kitchen. Fred has both the ability to see the project as it will be implemented as a whole and the ability to pay attention to the smallest of details. We knew what we wanted and Fred worked diligently to give us the baseline of what we wanted and then began a series of suggestions that turned a good kitchen into an extraordinary kitchen. Floating shelves, trim work, 14" versus 12" depth to the cabinets and on and on. When we suggested something that would not have enhanced our concept Fred gently but firmly steered us away from that and often suggested an alternative that was so much better. We stare in amazement at our kitchen. It takes a team to yield a successful result and our team members each added value. But the core of the team is the designer/project manager and that was Fred. We don't give five stars easily to anyone but Fred earned each and every one of them.

Fred helped me with my kitchen remodel right from the start of the process (designing layout, choosing cabinets & styles, countertops etc.) and kept involved right through to completion. While having great ideas, he always made sure that my desires and needs were not unnecessarily compromised. He also kept in touch with the project while the work was being performed and made sure that the project came out as designed. While the project was originally a kitchen remodel, leaks that were discovered at the start of contracting work meant that a bathroom remodel was also necessary. He was great in helping me get this unplanned part of the project off the ground quickly so that all of the contracting work could be done at one time. I love my new kitchen and bath.

Fred is a talented designer yet extremely flexible, incorporating our vision into his expertise. He's very experienced with high-end and hand-crafted one-offs and knows how to get that look on a lesser budget. He is also just plain great to be around. He sees both the big picture and the details, from the first time you talk broadly about your project to the day the installers are done. The separate installation company we hired sadly had none of his professionalism (live and learn!); Fred made the difference for a kitchen we love. His infectious enthusiasm makes you wishing (and planning) for future projects with him. We can't say enough good things about working with Fred.

Fred was the one and only designer we interviewed. After one appointment, we knew he was the one for us. His personality is outgoing and friendly and he is very much in control of what he is doing so us lots of ideas from former clients. Our project included remodeling our entire living area - living room, dining room, family room and kitchen. We renovated the kitchen down to the studs, removed a wall, closed off an existing door, installed all new cabinets, counter tops, filled in the sunken living room floor, re-did our fireplace and installed wood flooring throughout the entire house. Fred was precise in all drawings and our contractor loved him. Fred listened to all of our ideas and enhanced them with his own resulting in results that exceeded our expectations. We will hire Fred in a second for any further design projects and recommend him to anyone who asks for a wonderful designer. You won't be disappointed with Fred Wylds.

When we first met Fred, we were very impressed with his knowledge of kitchen design. We found out this knowledge was based on his background experience of building and installing cabinets. Through the entire project he really listened to our likes and dislikes and was able to anticipate our needs. He offered great suggestions that took our kitchen project from “nice” to “wow”! Fred is always prompt and professional, not only with us but with the other workers on the job. His design work is very complete and he was a huge help making all the parts of the kitchen come together from the flooring to the hardware. Our kitchen project was such a positive experience because of Fred.

We hired Fred for our condo remodel after speaking with a few designers about the project. Fred was the easiest to talk with and his rates were very reasonable and clear from the beginning. In fact, he spent so much time on the project and provided such great services that we definitely felt like he deserved much more than he asked. For the whole project, Fred was extremely helpful and pointed us in the right direction every time, without imposing his opinions on us. We were able to be as involved as we wanted to be, which was great. For example, when we picked out tiles at the tile store, we would tell him what we liked and he'd carefully pick out the shade that worked best with our scheme, and then kindly ask our opinion of it. Fred has a great eye for color and we were very happy with the decisions he helped us with. On top of all this, he is just an extremely nice person and has a tremendous work ethic. He'd always be up for driving out to the site for a consult or a meeting or some install. He also has some great contacts who provided excellent pricing on quality materials (appliances, tile, fixtures). We highly recommend Fred and his services and can't wait to work on him on another project in the future!

Designing our kitchen and office area with Fred far exceeded our expectations! His background and knowledge in cabinetry design and craftsmanship proved to be a godsend in that we were always confident that we were working with an expert in the field. He spent countless hours with us and his attention to detail was worth every penny we spent! We will never work with anyone else other than Fred. Fred mad sure every detail was attended to and was always just a phone call away. If there was ever a problem he addressed it right away!
